Dr. Jennifer Avery teaches writing to graduate students.
Jennifer has taught higher education literature and writing courses since 2006. She serves as a peer reviewer on three academic journal boards.
Jennifer holds a PhD in English literature with concentration on the Victorian novel and gender and sexuality studies. She has broadened her specializations to include global literatures, early American religious texts, Romanticism, business writing, grant writing, and professional writing.
Jennifer enjoys working with the Joyce University students who are driven, hard-working, and receptive to the learning journey. She supports graduate students in their writing process, building greater awareness of writing choices and styles.
Jennifer likes body-building, writing fantasy and poetry, making vlogs, spending time with her daughter, kayaking, cooking (and eating), and reading.
