ROLE

Dr. Maria Wallace is responsible for updating and implementing nursing education curriculums at Joyce University, in addition to her teaching duties.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Maria has been in nursing education for 12 years at the PN, ASN, BSN, and MSN level.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

Maria’s nursing specialty is critical care.

EDUCATION

Maria holds a BSN from Virginia Commonwealth University, an MSN with specialty in Anesthesia from University of Puerto Rico Medical Science Campus, and a DNP in Education Leadership from American Sentinel University.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

Maria’s favorite part of her job and working with students is sharing her knowledge, witnessing the “aha” moments, and watching her students succeed.

PERSONAL INTEREST

Maria enjoys curling up with a good book or going to the beach.
