Russell Thelin is an adjunct instructor of Sociology 212.
Russell has worked as a trainer, policy fellow and curriculum development specialist at the University of Massachusetts Boston and an adjunct instructor at Salt Lake Community College.
Russell has worked as a rehabilitation counselor, supervisor, and executive director of the Utah State Office of Rehabilitation.
Russell has a BS in sociology from the University of Utah and an MS in rehabilitation counseling from Utah State University. He is also a licensed vocational rehabilitation counselor, certified rehabilitation counselor, and certified rehabilitation leader.
Russell likes watching students connect sociological concepts within their studies and observing them connect the intellectual dots that change their perspective. He enjoys seeing students apply a greater understanding to their studies and lives.
Russell enjoys spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, kayaking, reading, and working on his muscle car.
