Veronica Killion facilitates simulated medical-surgical clinical scenarios for prelicensure students at Joyce University.
Veronica has been involved in clinical education and simulation for the past five years. She has retired from hospital nursing to be a prelicensure nurse educator.
Veronica’s 38-year nursing career has provided her with multiple nursing roles in the hospital setting and community health environment.
Veronica holds a BSN and an MSN in Education.
Veronica enjoys bringing the real-life healthcare scenarios to the students. The development of a collaborative team where the students grow is satisfying to observe. Veronica finds the students’ passion, dedication, and insights challenge her to continue to grow and improve as an educator.
Veronica has two dogs and a cat. She enjoys knitting, reading, yoga, and spending time with her family. Recently she became involved in raised box gardening.
