Our flexible Bachelor of Science in Nursing program blends online coursework with in-person skills development to help you earn your BSN quickly, while balancing school life with the rest of your life.
Distance education students will experience hands-on learning with their Utah classmates at our state-of-the-art Simulation Center in Draper, Utah. Travel will take place during the 4th, 6th, and 7th semesters. Distance-learners may opt into a stipend to cover the cost of travel to the Utah campus. At Joyce, we’re dedicated to preparing our nursing students for successfully passing the NCLEX. Our rigorous, focused curriculum and comprehensive tutoring are designed to develop both clinical judgment and comprehension skills.
Our Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is a 120 credit hour program composed of 52 general education credit hours and 68 credit hours of core coursework over 6-8 semesters depending on transfer credits from other institutions. Designed to provide students with the foundations of nursing theory and practical application of nursing fundamentals, many courses in this program are offered 100% online in an asynchronous format enabling our BSN students to balance their education with their lifestyle.
Coursework consists of lecture, lab, and clinical training, with several courses offered online and asynchronously. Students will learn concepts of caring that support and integrate holistic nursing principles. The curriculum reflects the Essentials of Professional Nursing as established by AACN.
In addition to theory and fundamental coursework, students will gain valuable hands-on skill development through practical application via virtual and in-person labs and simulations. During on-campus labs and sims, student will get the opportunity to engage with our state-of-the-art simulation equipment which includes high-fidelity human patient simulators and hyper-realistic synthetic cadavers that will enhance clinical and critical thinking skills.
