Both ASN and ADN degrees prepare nursing students to take the NCLEX and begin a career as an RN. Both take around 2 years on average, and both associate’s degrees consist of didactic classes and hands-on training.
The main difference is that an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree emphasizes clinical practice thus requiring more clinical experience as part of the curriculum, while an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) places more emphasis on didactic coursework.
Joyce University ASN graduates are field-tested and career-ready for the clinical setting upon graduation. Grads are eligible to sit for the NCLEX exam and earn RN Licensure in just 20 months.
