AACN essentials are woven throughout the program curriculum for all students in our MSN Nursing Leadership track. Students elect a concentration in either Nursing Education or Executive Nursing Leadership and will complete practicum experiences in their area of specialization, which qualify graduates to sit for the Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) or Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML) certification.
Our MSN program is a total of 32 credit hours, comprising 15 credit hours of core nursing leadership courses, and 17 credit hours of specialty courses in the student’s chosen concentration. The program is completed over 3 semesters or one year of full-time study. Coursework is delivered in a flexible asynchronous online format.
Each MSN student will fulfill 500 hours of required practicum experience, completed in approved practice settings under the supervision of an approved expert preceptor. Students will complete an immersive capstone project during their final semester that connects classroom knowledge with real-world applications. Students are not required to complete supervised clinical hours.
