The MSN program prepares graduates for specialized practice in nursing leadership or nursing education, using a holistic and scholarly approach to advanced nursing practice. Students will develop an evidence-based capstone project relevant to their specialty.
Our MSN program is a total of 32 credit hours, comprising 15 credit hours of core MSN courses, and 17 credit hours of specialty courses in the student’s chosen track. The program is completed over 3 semesters or one year of full-time study. Coursework is delivered in a flexible, asynchronous online format and includes indirect and direct care precepted clinical hours.
Each MSN student will complete a total of 270 precepted clinical hours, with 225 indirect hours of clinical in the specialty courses and 45 direct care clinical hours in the core course. Precepted clinical hours are completed in a designated clinical setting under the supervision of an approved preceptor. Students will complete an evidence-based capstone project during their final semester, connecting classroom knowledge with real-world applications.
