Joyce University Marks 2025 Year-End Milestones with Program Expansion and New Graduate Stories

SALT LAKE CITY, December 30, 2025 — As 2025 comes to a close, Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences is celebrating a year of momentum that includes expanding access to its hybrid nursing programs and preparing a new class of graduates to enter the workforce.

Through continued investment in high-quality, career-focused education, Joyce has expanded its hybrid pre- and post-licensure nursing programs into additional states, including Michigan and Texas, and has earned multiple workplace and higher-education recognitions. These year-end milestones reflect Joyce’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the nation’s healthcare workforce and empowering graduates to make an immediate impact in the communities they serve.

Joyce’s December cohorts also shared firsthand reflections on the moments that shaped their nursing journeys. During an international clinical experience in Guatemala, ABSN graduate Kelsi Christensen described learning alongside community members in ways that reinforced the value of patient education. “We spent so much time with locals in their homes, schools and churches. Seeing their curiosity and desire to learn reinforced the impact that health education can have on our clients.”

ABSN graduate Monica Fam shared that the same international experience strengthened her perspective on connection, communication, and culturally responsive care. “During my time in Guatemala, I helped lead a mental health education session for local women and the connection we built in that space is something I will never forget. Nursing is not just about clinical skills.”

For ASN graduate Karen Hurtado Valencia, graduation marked both a personal milestone and a career step forward. “I am a first-generation college student that is the first to graduate and the first nurse in my family. I got a job at a pediatric hospital in resource pool!”

Together, these 2025 milestones and graduating-student experiences reflect Joyce University’s continued focus on expanding access to nursing education and supporting strong workforce outcomes.
