Salt Lake City, Utah, May 12, 2025 – For the seventh consecutive year, Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences, in partnership with Utah-favorite Swig, recently celebrated National Nurses Day on May 6, 2025. From Logan to St. George, nurses enjoyed complimentary drinks and cookies at Swig locations across Utah, continuing a Joyce University tradition now in its seventh year.
This year’s event marked a significant milestone, honoring over 6,500 nurses, nursing students, and faculty across nine states.
Joyce University also provided Swig vouchers and Starbucks gift cards to nurses at 27 clinical partner locations, extending their appreciation for healthcare workers and students both in and out of state.
“We deeply appreciate the nurses who dedicate themselves each day to providing exceptional care to our communities,” said Dr. Lynn Bilder, Provost and Chief Academic Officer at Joyce University. “As the heart of healthcare, nurses play an essential role in providing compassionate, expert care. To our Joyce nurses, and nurses everywhere, we honor you and your invaluable contributions. Your dedication, compassion, and expertise make a difference in the lives of so many people.”
The celebration of nurses kicks off with Nurses Day and extends throughout May each year. The American Nurses Association’s theme for 2025 is focused on “The Power of Nurses,” a focus that is shared by Joyce University. The holiday also coincides with Florence Nightingale’s birthday, who is widely known as the founder of modern nursing.
Joyce University is one of the largest nursing universities in Utah, graduating nearly 1,000 nursing students annually. For more information about Joyce University and its innovative nursing programs, please visit Joyce.edu.
