Joyce Partners with Swig for National Nurses Month

Joyce University and Swig Honor Nurses and Nursing Students to Kick off National Nurses Month

Salt Lake City, UT – May 16, 2023 Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences, Utah’s largest school of nursing, partnered with local favorite beverage brand, Swig, to kickoff National Nurses Month and honor those who go above and beyond in keeping the community healthy and safe.

To start the week-long celebration, Joyce University and Swig served 3,111 nurses and nursing students across the state of Utah on Saturday, May 6. The special promotion offered a free drink or cookie to all nurses and nursing students on National Nurses Day.

“Nurses week brings a lot of excitement to the Joyce community,” said John Smith-Coppes, Provost of Joyce University. “It is an opportunity for students, faculty, and alumni to be recognized for the work they do throughout the year. We love that we are able to work closely with a local partner, like Swig, who shares our deep appreciation for the nursing heroes within our community, and we hope this week serves as a reminder to everyone to thank nurses everywhere for the work they do often, not just once a year.”

Together, Joyce and Swig served more than 400 cookies, 1698 drinks, and 1,000 drink vouchers to nurses on Saturday, May 6 to kick off Nurses Week.

“We were thrilled to partner again with Joyce University and give back to all of the nurses that work so hard and do much for so many,” said Nicole Tanner, founder of Swig n’ Sweets. “We love that so many nurses came to Swig on nurses day to get their free drink and cookie. We hope it made their day a little brighter and lighter. To all of the nurses out there we at Swig thank you for all you do!”
