Joyce University Invites the Public to Annual Summerfest on Friday, June 2

Nursing School to Hosts Music, Food, Giveaways, and Games from 10 to 2 p.m. 

Draper, UT – May 24, 2023 Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences will host its annual Summerfest event on Friday, June 2 from 10am to 2pm at the Joyce University campus in Draper, Utah. The nursing college is opening its doors to the public and invites students, nurses, prospective nurses, and those interested in the healthcare profession to take a tour of its state-of-the-art facilities and enjoy live entertainment, giveaways, food, and more.

During the family-friendly Summerfest event, visitors are invited to take a tour of Joyce University’s campus including the institution’s freshly remodeled Simulation Center, its Center for Teaching and Learning tutoring space, and Joyce’s Virtual Reality Simulation technology.

In addition to the facility tour, visitors can stop by a number of booths including the International Clinicals booth to learn about Joyce’s travel clinicals program, mingle with Student Council and Joyce Faculty, and enjoy live music and karaoke provided by Bronco Entertainment. Joyce’s Career Services will be offering tips for writing resumes and cover letters for aspiring professionals preparing for the job market. Food trucks will be available for guests to enjoy refreshments throughout the event.

Those in attendance are also welcomed and encouraged to participate in the onsite mobile blood drive, benefiting ARUP. During the event, guest will have the opportunity to enter a giveaway with prizes that include $200 gas gift cards, Joyce University swag, and Swig drink gift cards.

Student Advising and Student Council will be co-sponsoring a Dunk Tank to raise awareness and donations for the Food and Supply Pantry for Joyce Students who may be experiencing hardships. Donations of shelf-stable food and pantry items, personal hygiene products, and baby essentials will be accepted during the event.
