Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences Welcomes Dr. Lynn Bilder as Provost and Chief Academic Officer

Salt Lake City, UT – November 1, 2023, Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Lynn Bilder, PhD, APRN, WHNP-BC as Provost and Chief Academic Officer. Dr. Bilder brings a wealth of experience and a visionary leadership style to this pivotal role, and her appointment marks a significant milestone in the institution’s achievement of building one of the preeminent nursing and health sciences schools in the United States.

Dr. Bilder brings with her an extensive background in nursing education and leadership, with more than 9 years of experience as a senior nursing leader. She holds a PhD from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is a distinguished NLN Jonas Scholar. Prior to joining Joyce University as Vice Provost, Dr. Bilder served as the Assistant Vice President of the Center for Nursing Excellence at Rasmussen University, one of the nation’s largest prelicensure nursing schools.

Dr. Bilder’s previous leadership roles demonstrate her ability to drive academic excellence and innovation. Lynn has served successfully as an academic leader responsible for accreditation, curriculum development, and faculty and student outcomes. Her expertise in curriculum development and program quality has led to significant improvements in NCLEX pass rates and overall program quality.

With an impressive background that extends beyond academia, Dr. Bilder gained clinical experience as a Registered Nurse and a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner where she provided primary medical care for uninsured and underinsured patients.

Dr. Bilder’s expertise, dedication, and passion for nursing education make her an invaluable addition to the institution. With a vision that is closely aligned with the university’s strategic goals, her leadership will be instrumental in furthering Joyce University’s vision to provide learning environments that transform lives so graduates can have a greater positive impact on their communities.
