Dr. Guerra teaches pharmacology at Joyce University.
Dr. Guerra has been teaching at the college level for over 13 years.
Dr. Guerra has been a pharmacist for 25 years in various community and administrative roles.
Dr. Guerra is published in several textbooks and peer reviewed publications, as well as many self-published books, reviews, and podcasts. He received the National PTEC Technician Educator Award in 2017, was a finalist for the Next Generation Pharmacist Technology Innovator Award, and belongs to the Sigma Tau Delta, Phi Theta Kappa, Phi Lambda Sigma, and Phi Delta Chi honor societies.
Dr. Guerra’s teaching philosophy is to teach less, better. His favorite part of working with students is the end of the semester when they have time to reflect and see what they’ve accomplished. He loves interacting with his students and seeing them succeed in a course.
Dr. Guerra has an AA from the University of Florida, an AS from the Des Moines Area Community College, a BA in English and a Master’s of Human Computer Interaction from Iowa State University, and a Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Maryland.
Dr. Guerra likes to run marathons for fun.
