Leesha teaches simulations, skills lab, and clinical courses. Was Content Lead for Pediatric and OB simulation until promotion to Assistant Director of Simulation and Skills Lab.

Leesha Simons has been an Emergency Department Educator at St. Marks Hospital since 2018.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

Leesha Simons began her nursing career in 2013. She worked 2 years in labor and delivery and 7 years in the emergency department.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

Leesha loves seeing students have “aha” moments when they finally understand something. Her favorite part of her job is teaching, especially as she interacts with her students and simplifies complicated processes for them.

EDUCATION

Leesha has an ASN from Eagle Gate College, a BSN from Western Governors University, and an MSN in Nursing Education from Arizona State University.

PERSONAL INTEREST

Leesha loves to travel and see the world. She also loves dancing, especially ballet.
