Nia George is responsible for development and instruction of courses for the Respiratory Care program at Joyce University as the Director of Clinical Education.
Nia’s respiratory experience spans over 21 years where she served most of her time in acute critical care and leadership positions. She had the most fun when she worked in the Emergency Department and Pulmonary Functions Laboratory.
Nia received her undergraduate degree in Respiratory Care and a went on to earn a master’s degree in organizational management from Ashford University.
Nia looks forward to the moments when curriculum and learning theories become real for students. She realizes that each student is different and will meet them where they are on this journey. Every student is worth fighting for as they strive to graduate and become amazing assets to their families and communities. Giving back to students is Nia’s way of paying it forward.
Nia enjoys quiet moments in life, serving her community through a local church, spending time with family, and laughing until it hurts. Her support systems are interlaced with comedians, so laughter comes easy and often.
