Salt Lake City — April 14, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — After more than 43 years of academic excellence, Ameritech College of Healthcare will now be known as Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences. Along with the rebranding, Joyce University has been granted institutional accreditation by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). This new name reflects the institution’s mission, values, and the excellence of its people.

The transition to Joyce University represents more than just a name change; it acknowledges the value and importance of the nursing community. Since its establishment in 1979, Joyce University has graduated over 4,600 nurses and provided global humanitarian clinical opportunities for students. The university is ranked as the third safest college in the United States by Niche and among the top 100 Best Nursing Schools in America.

Following a multi-year review process that included site visits and an analysis of the university’s faculty, curriculum, facility, and programs, the NWCCU granted Joyce accreditation. The NWCCU is a non-profit organization recognized by the United States Department of Education and the Council on Higher Education Accreditation to accredit postsecondary institutions. This accreditation signifies the university’s commitment to performance, integrity, and quality.
